Justice Bus to offer pop-up legal clinics throughout Western New York
Buffalo News - 5/20/2019
May 20-- May 20--People challenged by poverty and disability who are in search of legal advice may soon reap the benefits of free pop-up clinics through a new service provided by Neighborhood Legal Services, said Lauren Breen, the agency's executive director.
The Justice Bus will increase access to legal assistance for underserved residents of urban and rural communities across Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming counties.
"Transportation challenges are one of the biggest obstacles our clients face when trying to access legal services," said Breen. Populations expected to be served include low-income veterans, disabled residents and victims of domestic violence.
Organizations seeking to schedule a visit by the Justice Bus may contact Neighborhood Legal Services.
