Dennis Port man denies indecent-assault charge

Jan. 18--ORLEANS -- A Dennis Port man was released on his own recognizance Thursday after he pleaded not guilty in Orleans District Court to a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled.
A complaint against Desmond McDuffie, 40, was issued by Dennis police Dec. 12, according to court documents.
McDuffie was ordered to be back in court Jan. 31 for a probable cause hearing. He was ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the alleged victim.
Further details about the case were sealed because of the nature of the alleged offense.
