Frymyer named OMC's new respiratory manager

Sequim Gazette - 1/9/2019

Olympic Medical Center recently announced the promotion of Tim Frymyer, a registered respiratory therapist, to respiratory therapy manager.

Frymyer served as interim manager for several months after the previous manager moved out of the area.

A Respiratory Therapist with OMC since 2013, Frymyer brings valuable management experience from his previous work at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, OMC officials said last week.

"Olympic Medical Center has benefited from Tim's dedicated and successful leadership while serving in the interim manager position," chief medical officer Scott Kennedy said.

Olympic Medical Center's respiratory therapists treat patients with respiratory conditions, while they are in the hospital, seven days a week.

In addition, they provide lung function testing at Olympic Medical Lung Center in Port Angeles and at Olympic Medical Specialty Clinic in Sequim.

"I am looking forward to expanding the smoking cessation program in conjunction with Olympic Medical Wellness Services," Frymyer said, "and empowering COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) patients to take better control of their disease in order to reduce their need for hospitalization."
