Nursing home formerly called The Gardens at Lititz is sold & renamed
Intelligencer Journal - 12/4/2018
A small nursing home in Lititz has its second new name in as many years.
In 2016, Delaware County-based Reliant Senior Care Holdings Inc. sold the 42-bed home and 13 other facilities to New York-based Priority Healthcare Group.
At that point, its name changed from Audubon Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lititz to The Gardens at Lititz.
Today, state and federal records show the facility at 125 S. Broad St. listed as Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Lititz, but doing business as Lititz Rehabilitation & Nursing.
A person who answered the phone confirmed that the home had been sold, but referred all questions to an administrator. Several phone and email attempts to get him or Priority to provide information were unsuccessful.
County records show that Maybrook-P Audubon Propco LLC sold the facility to Lititz Property Management LLC for $1,398,424.
According to Nate Wardle, spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the sale took place Aug. 29 and other homes that the same buyer now owns and renamed from some version of "The Gardens" are as follows. None are in Lancaster County.
* Campbelltown Rehabilitation & Nursing
* Lakeside Rehabilitation & Nursing
* Luzerne Rehabilitation & Nursing
* Palmyra Rehabilitation & Nursing
* Pottstown Rehabilitation & Nursing
Among the 32 nursing homes in Lancaster County, the Lititz facility is the sixth in recent years to be given a new name that includes some version of “nursing and rehabilitation.”
The others are Elizabeth Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Elizabethtown Healthcare and Rehab Center, Rehabilitation Center at Brethren Village, Rose City Nursing and Rehab at Lancaster and Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
This story was updated Nov. 16, 2018, to add the information from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
