Receptive Identification by Function is a perceptual training program, an auditory perceptual training program, a behavior training program and a cognitive skills and language tutorial program designed for use with children with low vision or learning, communication, cognitive or hearing disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use their Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to teach a child or student to talk about things rather than just labeling them. The app contains over 90 images. The child or student is asked in mixed and varied phrases to identify 30 different functions of items, objects and people. Functions may include: cutting, driving, eating and sleeping. For example, an image displaying a baby, a chair and a puppy will be shown on the screen, and the app will speak out loud "Find the one that you sit on." The correct answer is a chair. Sound can be turned off, and the app can be used by both visual and auditory learners. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 2.2.1 or later.
