The NE-AT Interim Leg Support is a wheelchair leg support designed for people with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury and others who use a manual or power wheelchair. It is intended to provide temporary extra lower leg support for wheelchair users who are in a cast or who need additional support for some other reason. The unit has a pad to support the user's lower leg, a double ball and socket joint to adjust the position and angle, a clamp for attaching to the user's existing footrest, and a single handle to tighten the clamp. The clamp can be changed to accommodate different tube sizes. Each leg has its own independently and infinitely adjustable support. The handle used to lock the pad in place can be replaced with a nut requiring a wrench to adjust. The pad is made of foam and plywood and can be made to any dimension and customized. It has slip-on neoprene cover aids in cleaning. The system is installed and adjusted using an Allen key.
