The Orion LU/LA (limited use/limited application) Elevator is a commercial elevator designed for use by individuals with mobility or walking disabilities. This heavy-duty, fully enclosed elevator with automatic sliding doors can be fitted into new or existing low-rise buildings with two to four stories, such as health clinics, schools, or museums. The elevator is operated with a single automatic push button, and serves a maximum of four levels. Safety features include slack rope safeties that lock the elevator onto the rails if a lifting cable loses tension; negative pressure module valve to prevent car movement if hydraulic pressure is lost; backup lighting powered by emergency battery; flow control valve to prevent over-speed in the down direction; interlocks to maintain the door in the closed and locked position before the elevator can move. POWER: Uses 220-volts, single phase, 60 amps or 208-volt, 3-phase, 30-amp power with backup battery for emergency lighting. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Car is 54 x 48 inches. The door opening is 6 feet, 8 inches high x 36 inches wide. Rail sections are 16 feet long; 8 foot rail sections are optional. Maximum travel distance is 25 feet. CAPACITY: 1,400 pounds. SPEED: 30 feet per minute. WARRANTY: 36-month limited warranty which covers the repair or replacement of defective parts.
