The PA5 Pediatric Audiometer is an auditory evaluation system designed for use by audiologists in evaluating the hearing of infants and young children. Operable with one hand, this unit provides variable stimuli for screening infants via auditory localization techniques. The two stimuli, light and sound, are controlled by silent buttons. Both stimuli can be presented simultaneously for visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA) by letting one finger touch both buttons. Two units can be used for the conditioned orientation response (COR) test by using one in each hand. The tester can use either unit to evoke a head turn with the stimulus and then provide visual reinforcement. Sound stimuli include white noise, warble, and narrow band stimuli. A lightweight bag is included. OPTIONS: Audiometric headphone (model TDH39). POWER: Uses 3 double-A alkaline batteries (included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 2 x 9.8 x 2.7 inches. WEIGHT: 0.8 pounds with batteries.
