OdysseyWare is a math, science, language arts, history, and geography curriculum program designed for use by children with learning disabilities. This multimedia curriculum program automatically performs teacher tasks such as grading, lesson planning, and record keeping. It covers the four core subjects of Language Arts, Math, History and Geography, and Science, plus a variety of electives, including Spanish, Consumer Math, and Health. The curricuum can be configured for use in a classroom (multiple students), independent study, or home school environment. The curriculum features more than 25,000 videos, animations, and slide shows that help bring concepts to life. Visual and auditory learners can hear the pronunciation of vocabulary words, watch a slideshow, or view science experiments with the click of the mouse. Interactive learning activities challenge students to practice and apply what they’ve learned. The software automatically grades and records student work in lessons, quizzes, tests, and projects, and alerts the teacher when an assignment or problem requires teacher grading. It also prints grade reports and report cards. It can also automatically create a semester or yearly lesson plan, customized for individual students. Diagnostic tests are provided to identify potential gaps in the learning process and fill them in. The program is aligned to state standards to ensure that student progress is reflected on state achievment or assesment tests.
