Door Butler

Door Butler is a door opener and door closer designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This non-electric device utilizes a Red Thing non-slip hold-open tab to open the door to the position determined by the setting of the tab. The unit enables the individual to close the door while the tab is still engaged on the closer rod. To activate the auto open feature, the door is unlatched from the closed position, and the door automatically opens to the preset position. The door closes when the user pushes or pulls the door to begin the closing process; it completes the process automatically. The device requires less than one pound of pressure to operate. The unit includes a six-screw clip plate for doorjamb attachment, while enabling the doorjamb bracket to be removed to widen the doorway when moving furniture and appliances. The patented clip plate also enables the Door Butler to be attached directly over screw holes from a previous door closer. The spring assembly can be bypassed and locked to allow function as a normal door closer device. The Door Butler can be used on any door that swings outward anf it can be installed at the top, center, or bottom of the door. The Door Butler is available in a standard medium-duty model, a standard heavy-duty model, a medium-duty full door operator, and a heavy-duty full door operator. The full door operator opens the door fully for wheelchair users. OPTIONS: A support bar is available for glass or hollow doors.
